Hey guys. Deviant Art was blocked by the Rhodes server for some reason or another, so I was not able to get on for a good while.

School has been going well. I'm currently taking Civilization in Literature, Ancient Mediterranean History, Intro to Fiction Writing, and Russian 101. Fun, fun stuff, all of it. Really.

Russian's going well, I s'ose. My dictation skills are rather lacking, but I can write in it well enough, I think. It didn't help that through the start of the class until about a week ago I had an awfully sore throat, clogged sinuses, and ear infections in both ears. Not only was I unable to properly say words because of my sinuses and throat, but I couldn't hear a damned thing 'cause of my ears. Ugh.

Intro to Fiction is interesting. We just finished a week of peer-workshopping. Now, by no means to I think my story was the best one submitted, but GOD DAMN there were some AWFUL stories. I can't tell if a majority of that class has no taste or what though, 'cause they seemed to like most of them. Which really confused me because there were some that I just wasn't able to finish because it was just painful to read.

My story met kind of luke-warm reception, which is what I was expecting. I can't really post it yet, but it will be up after Christmas. People liked my use of voice, but really rode me hard on my shitty proof reading job. Switched in tense, punctuation mistakes, some clarity issues here and there, and a spot where I absolutely drop any idea of suspension of disbelief. Oh well. This is how you get better.

Anyway. I should be sleeping.
